Who do you trust?

There is a lot to unpack from this past weekend.

Let me start with the lesser story of Alec Baldwin. It was a shock to learn that the case against him had been dismissed. What was even more disturbing is that it was dismissed with prejudice. With prejudice means the case can never be brought again in any court. In a criminal case such as Baldwin’s, while no ruling of guilt or innocence is rendered, it is tantamount to an acquittal.

I read further. Apparently, the prosecutor withheld evidence from the defense. Discovery in a criminal case is fundamental. More than that it is sacred. It’s absolute. So much so that even Mona Lisa Vito, Vinny’s girlfriend (My Cousin Vinny, 1992) understood how it works.

How does something like this happen? My first thought was a payoff. How much did Alec Baldwin pay for a prosecutor to make such an egregious error? Then I considered the possibility of blackmail. Is there something in the prosecutors past that must be kept secret at any cost?

Again, I ask the question. Who do you trust?

Later that evening a friend called.

“Trump’s been shot.” He was upset. “It’s on Fox, live.”

I turned on the television to see the replay. Multiple times. I watched the feed from Right Side Broadcasting Network. Commentary was focused on the actions around the podium. I had a certain amount of confidence that I could trust at least some of the basic facts. The facts included little as to the shooter.

Then came an interview of a witness who saw a man with a rifle climb onto a roof. He would be one-hundred-fifty yards from the podium, with an unobstructed sightline. By now we all know the storyline.

What we don’t know is how could this happen. How does a shooter get access to a rooftop and take a shot any army basic training recruit can make?

There are so many failures I’m left wondering. Is this another CIA op like the one that killed John F Kennedy in 1963?

Seriously. Who to you trust?

Was the shooter another troubled kid groomed by our own? Was he an intelligence asset set up to take the fall? Was he destined to be another Lee Harvey Oswald?

Is the attempt on Donald J. Trump similar to what we saw in Uvalde Texas? Where do the people like this shooter, who could be described not only as disadvantaged, but also ‘troubled’ find the money for arms and ammunition?

How is it that only one member of the Trump secret service detail was on duty. Yes, the regulars had worked seven days straight and were considered to fatigued to work the Butler rally. A handful of untrained agents and local law enforcement were tasked with protecting a former President.

Can you imagine the reaction when they learned their man was shot because someone up the chain thought they needed a break? But wait, there’s more. United States Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle is reported to have said the roof top used by the would-be assassin was sloped and unsafe for members of the USSS. It is for that reason a team member was not on the roof top. (remember that when you see pictures of the building)

It's crazy. I would list many more questions of why, or how. But what would be the point. We are living in a nation where everything government tells us is a lie. Everything.

I again ask, who do you trust?

I’ll end with the point Congressman Mills made in the interview linked earlier. Four minutes into the interview you’ll hear him say that this is a case of “divine intervention”. God is protecting Donald J. Trump. The shot was so simple Mills could train anyone to do it in just five minutes. For what it’s worth, I was just nineteen when I made such a shot without a scope, in a driving rainstorm, while standing in a hole with water over the tops my boots. And I was using an M-14.

I have written about this multiple times. The prayers being said, the decrees being made, and the declarations spoken on behalf of Donald J. Trump made the difference. He is in fact, God’s anointed. He has been chosen by God for such a time as this. Psalms 91:11 is real. For God shall give angels charge over him.

Be it Russia, Russia, Russia, rigged elections, endless lawfare, or assassination attempts, no weapon formed against Donald Trump will prosper.

The mindless attack has shown the world the wickedness that is controlling government. In the days ahead we will see further unmasking of what evil is capable of doing. If you are not on the side of God, the days ahead will be extremely difficult.

Who do you trust?

As for me, I will take the path of Joshua. I will trust the Lord.
